Vigilante Judge Deflates Tire of Court Employee: Judges Are Vengeful, TOO!!

.
Recently in Maryland Courthouse, a building cleaning worker that likes to park in a 'prime space' that is near the Courthouse building had her tire deflated by Judge Robert Nalley of Charles County, Maryland. The Washinton Post reported earlier this week that detectives are investigating and will decide shortly about whether charges will be issued. According to the Charles County Circuit Court's Web site, Nalley was appointed to the bench in 1980. Before becoming a judge, he served as county state's attorney for five years.

Do you still want to APPOINT JUDGES and AMEND THE CONSTITUTION, NEVADA?? Obviously merit-based selection is flawed, too.

The fun part about this story, though, is that 2 county sheriff's jail officers witnessed the whole thing, They watched as the judge let the air out of the court worker's Toyota Corolla tire, parked outside the La Plara Courthouse. Then, the make the story even jucier, one officer is reported to have recorded the activity on his cellphone video camera.

The car owner is Jean Washington. She informed the Washington Post that she ran outside of the courthouse to move the car when the sheriff's deputy warned her of the judge's activity, but she was too late...the air was gone, the tire was flat...damn. This brought her to 'tears'. She was extremely upset because of who did this, not what was done. The Judge? She is obviously naive. I can see any of our Clark County Judges doing this very same thing.

I guess she missed the memo that explains that Judges are huge 'boneheads'. Washington said she likes to park close to the courthouse because her shift doesn’t end until night. So, she doesn't want to walk far late at night. Dude, she is 51, cut her a brake . . . oh, so she deserves to have her tires deflated for parking in a spot she should not. Don't we have people to enforce laws like this, NOT JUDGES. In his defense, doesn't she know that the Judge should get the 'prime spot' for parking? Obviously Jean does not know her place amongst the judges.

Nalley declined to comment, surprise, surprise, until a recent interview with the Maryland Independent newspaper. So the big question, will there be charges? Will the judge be reprimanded? What would happen Nevada if this occurred?

The question we all want answered at this point . . . why would he do that? Well, the parking spot she used has no markers indicating that it or any spot is reserved for Nalley or anyone else, Washington said. She said a sign near those spots says, "Restricted Parking Only." Washington said no one had ever told her she could not park in that area, which is a short walk from the courthouse. Evidently, vigilante 'justice' is alive and well, even when wrong.

Interestingly enough, Washington said she has exchanged greetings with Nalley in and around the courthouse. She said she and Nalley have never had a conversation, though.

In the end, after calling police, they interviewed her and the officers obtained a pump and inflated her flat tire. YEA!!!!

So, ITS FINAL . . . cops are nicer than judges?

Yesterday, the judge admitted to a supervisor of the 'deflating' activity but said it was no 'big deal'. The supervisor Judge was most upset that he had to hear of the incident from a newspaper account at WSJ. So an apology was issued for 'not notifying him about the matter' sooner. But, still no apology to Washington. This is a JOKE, right?!?

William D. Missouri, chief administrative judge for Maryland's 7th Circuit, is the supervisor of Nalley and is considering sanctions, against Nally stating that, "As judges, all we have is the public's trust . . . If we lose that trust, we have nothing. I can assure you, [trust] will be maintained."

Hear, Hear...though few judges actually believe it.

Nally's response was made in an interview with the Maryland Independent newspaper published Wednesday. Nalley states that he had flattened the rear passenger-side tire of a 2004 Toyota Corolla that was parked near the courthouse in La Plata. Nalley told the Independent that someone had repeatedly parked in a restricted zone and that he had left notes for the driver. Letting the air out of a tire was less inconvenient to the driver than having the car towed, Nalley said. OH, that really is 'just', 'unbiased' and 'fair'. Good work Judge.

This is disputed by Washington. She says that she had not received a note or a verbal warning to stay away from the parking area where she left her car Monday. "The only warning I got was when he flattened my tire," Washington said. In ALL FAIRNESS to the vigilante, I mean the Judge, there is a sign notifying drivers that the area is a restricted parking zone and that motorists are required to have a permit between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Though, there are no signs or markings indicating that spaces are reserved for Nalley or anyone else.

Washington parked there are 3:30 p.m. Monday, she did not have a permit to park in the area and would not have done so if she had been told she was not supposed to, she claims. Uh, Ms. Washington, remember the permit-thingy. That is your permission ship. Nice try. Washington also said she chose the spot because it is close to the courthouse and her work shift typically ends at 8:30 p.m.; she doesn't like to walk to another parking lot in the dark. That's reasonable.

What does all of this tell us . . . Washington is certainly smarter than Judge Nalley when she stated that the Judge should have called police or had her car towed rather than deflate the tire. "If my car had been towed, that would have been my responsibility." "If I had been ticketed, that would have been my responsibility," she followed up.

Maybe the Court Housekeeper should be appointed to the bench, instead of Nalley? Naw, that would create too much fairness in the system.
