LV Metro Catches Radosevich Practicing Law Without A License, AGAIN! & Justice Hardesty Announces Re-Election Bid

Some FAKE Las Vegas Attorneys Don't Know When To Quit, Now That's ZEALOUS

Here we go again! Disbarred attorney Charles Radosevich was cited on Tuesday with two misdemeanor citations for practicing law without a license, again. While Metro was waiting for a warrant regarding the felony charges that were issued (reported Sunday at LVSun), the Metro Special Investigations Section allegedly went forward with a sting and caught Radosevich practicing law without a license, again. It was reported that "Two Metro detectives posing as a couple went to Radosevich and asked him for legal help. The detectives paid Radosevich $200 for the services they requested and then disclosed their true identities and cited him." (LVSun)

That really takes 'balls' to get charged with a felony for taking $190,000 while practicing law without a license and then to just keep on keepin' on. Did he just stop with the felony stuff, or is he so greedy that he'll take $200 from anyone?

You heard from us in Monday's Motions when we told you how the State Bar of Nevada got involved on an enforcement matter against Radosevich, previously disbarred in Nebraska & Colorado, pursuant to a report from Radosevich's clients that they had been duped for $190,000.00. After the State Bar of Nevada got involved, they allegedly instructed the Clark County District Attorney's office or Las Vegas Metro, to follow up on Radosevich's activity. Well, that didn't take long. Only 48 hours after the LV Sun report, but 10 years and several State Bar reports later, LV Metro nabs him in a $200 sting? Who has more pull with Metro, the LV Sun or the State Bar?

The problem here is that the State Bar of Nevada (and the Court, and the DA, and Metro & notable attorneys and law firms) knew this guy was out there, but there was no follow up on his activity, there was no reporting, there was no inquiry. For 10 years? How does this happen? When Radosevich resolved a matter for his 'practicing law without a license' in 2000 he should have been tracked. The resolution was court-approved and he agreed to 'not practice law in Nevada.' I guess we decided to just take his word for it.

There is information that David Clark, deputy counsel for the State Bar of Nevada, did report a matter in 2007 to Metro for prosecution, but he never heard back. There is alleged to be more than one report to Metro. The State Bar notes that they had occasionally received complaints about Radosevich, but enforcement agencies never picked up the case (well, at least until the LV Sun reported about it on Sunday). Silly, huh? The damage, so far, for not prosecuting Radosevich earlier?
  • He allegedly defrauded a California woman of $112,000 after he negotiated a $118,000 settlement of a $128,000 gambling debt pursuant to a bad check (he never paid the debt);
  • The California woman spent 2-weeks in jail for HIS fraud on her (nobody looked into this?);
  • He allegedly took $190,000 to represent a couple in Las Vegas
  • He allegedly took $200 from undercover Metro agents on Tuesday;
  • The reputation of the State Bar of Nevada has just taken a huge 'hit' in the public eye;
  • There are allegedly documents circulating with false file stamps from the court;
  • There are allegedly divorces filed by him;
  • There are allegedly bankruptcy petitions filed by him;
  • There are allegedly immigration-related matters performed by him;
  • There are allegedly personal injury matters where insurance money was paid to him;
  • Certainly there is more, he has an office in the Howard Hughes Parkway area (attorney row), right near by Holland and Hart, Jones Vargas, Snell & Wilmer, Jolley Urga Wirth Woodbury & Standish, Selman Breitman, Parsons Behle & Latimer, Morris Polich & Purdy, Littler Mendelson, Lewis & Roca, Kummer Kaemper Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario, Kemp Jones & Coulthard, Gordon & Silver . . . do I need to go on?
It seems that no area of law could stop him, or would. Maybe it was his confidence that scared them. Setting up shop in the Howard Hughes Parkway area? He should be paid for his 'guts' alone. The main question, though . . . is he shut down yet? Who knows.

Hardesty's Re-Election Bid

No surprise here, Hardesty announced his re-election bid for next term. He has been very active on the Supreme Court. Hardesty's smartest move was when he knew he could not get make it to the Supreme Court without Las Vegas. He began before his first bid for election by working cases in Las Vegas as mediator, while a judge up north. At the time it was billed as him trying to step in a help the overloaded problem of backlog. In hindsight is was an effort to get known in Las Vegas. Even amidst his arrogant and sometimes abrasive style of mediation, it worked. He gained the respect he needed. Now, after statewide, and even national, attention, Hardesty is a rolling stone, downhill, though. It is likely that he will not get challenged. That's the part I don't like. Hardesty as a Supreme Court judge . . . average. He needs to be challenged, though.

If we had judge reviews this would be a little easier. How does any of the regular folks know if he has done a good job? Truth: they don't know. So, any challenger has an impossible job, as Hardesty has not been in any media blitz due to some social error, unlike our governor. Unfortunately, Hardestly will likely go unchallenged, which is foder for both camp, for and against, judicial appointment. See prior posts HERE.

Oh Yea! How many times do you have to report a crime to get a response. Maybe we should just set up 911 through the LV Sun. That might get Metro out there sooner.

Sounds like Metro was too busy shooting attorneys (Duensing) to arrest them.

He must be arrested because what he did is an irresponsibility and now he have to pay for all his damages. I'm sorry but that's how laws work is this country.
